8 months old!

IT's hard to believe that Cooper is 8 months old. He is the happiest baby, only crying when we take too long to feed him. :)
He is sitting up, and rolling back to front and front to back. He will "sing" himself to sleep, which is the cutest thing I've ever heard.
He lights up at the sight of his daddy, and even more when Tucker talks to him. Man, that kid loves his big brother. Well, I have to say, he's crazy about all the kids. He loves playing with all of them.

We had an appointment today for him to get his second RSV shot. I didn't know that we have to go every month during RSV season (it lasts until April). He did really well, only crying for about a minute. He now weighs 15 pounds, 9.2 ounces! BIG BOY!!

Earlier this month we participated in the local March of Dimes March for Babies. My company started a Team and named it after Cooper. The "Coop Troop" made our goal that we wanted to reach in donations, and had several people turn out for the walk. Cooper's nighttime NICU nurse even joined us! So touching to see all the Coop love!

More to come! I promise! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I suck at updates

That's all I can say. Life has been so busy. Between work, school, kid activites, illness, holidays approaching, and everything else, we have just been busy!

Cooper is doing amazing. Really. That kid just awes us every single day. He is now sitting up! He will stay up unassisted for awhile, but we usually just put the boppy behind him and he will play for quite awhile.

Excuse the quality (cell phone pics)
But dont' you love the drool???

SO, here's a teeny update. I WILL post another one, hopefully tonight. Have lots of pictures to share. We recently participated in the March Of Dimes March for Babies, which was so special to me.

The Mother of all Updates

Has it really been since June??? Well, first off I apologize! lol.
We have been so incredibly busy here. I went back to work, Cooper started daycare, the kids went back to school. We barely have time to blink it seems, with everything going on.
But here goes....

AS of last week, at the Dr, Cooper is 13 lbs 3 ounces. 21 inches long. As far as milestones, he is doing really well. Verbally, he is way beyond a 6 month old... he "talks" to us, laughs, smiles! He is a very happy baby. And so content.
On the other milestones, he is almost at 6 months.... but beyond a 3 month old (how old he should be).

I think he's going to sit up any day.

He is doing so well at daycare. I pick him up and he is so happy. The girls there really fuss over him. He's the youngest in the "baby room" right now so I think they love that. Tucker gets to visit him whenever he likes, and is so proud to check on his baby brother.

I have more pictures to upload and will blog again soon! I promise it won't be months again!

Small Update

We haven't been around much, because we've been so busy. Lots of company, getting geared up for summer vacation, and I'm preparing to go back to work. I'm so not ready to!

Cooper is doing wonderful. Sunday, the 13th was not only his 3 month birthday, but also his official due date. Like Mark said, "he's not a negative anymore". Lol At his appointment last week he weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces.

Monday, Cooper has surgery to repair a hernia. It was very small, and an easy procedure. And, in usual Cooper fashion, he has come through it like a rock star. We had to spend the night in the hospital for observation. He is eating and sleeping well, and doesn't seem phased by it at all.

Just a few pictures:

We've also witnessed our first "real" smiles. BUT.... only for Skylor. She was playing "pattycake" with him and he loved it. So when we want to see that cute little crooked grin, we have to recruit Skylor. But she doesn't mind...

What we've been doing since Cooper came home

Sleeping....or trying to anyway! Cooper is actually a really good baby. Very laid back, hardly cries. We have all enjoyed every minute with since he's been home.

We've had several Drs appointments since we brought him home. They are making sure he is gaining weight...which he is! As of Friday, he was 7 pounds. He is eating very well. In fact, the last few days he can't seem to get enough!

We are just so happy to have out little man home and our entire family is complete!

Great First Night!

Our first night home was great! Everyone was a huge help and the kids were so excited to have their baby brother home at last. Cooper did really well. He was awake and alert quite a bit, and slept well last night.
I'm still trying to get used to the bottle making and making sure I get him all his meds on time. But we're getting there.
